The Institute has applied for several projects at the national level in tenders published through the Ministry of Science and Education in which the Institute is the applicant. The outcome of these tenders is still pending.

The STEMPLAnet project was certainly applied for as part of the STEM Civil Society Capacity Building Competition, Operational Program “Effective Human Resources”, in which the POI Institute is the project applicant, and the partners are experienced associations with an active long-term presence on the national and international scene .

As part of the project, lectures will be held for children and young people, which will include teaching in the STEM field, the introduction of innovative and creative tools for working with children and youth in the field of STEM popularization and which will encourage creative and critical thinking of children and youth. in the specified area.

In a tender announced by U.S. Embassy Zagreb, the Institute applied with the project Together and Responsible for Environmental Welfare, which the embassy supported with grants.

The aim of this project is to increase the interest of children and young people in acquiring knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship, through innovative extracurricular activities. The activities of this project are based on environmental protection, the circular economy and entrepreneurship. The basic idea is to include elementary school students in the project, who will, in cooperation with high school students and their teachers-mentors as well as students of design studies at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb, realize the final product. The role of primary school students will be to collect and separate waste. Vocational high school students will make a device for milling and extruding collected plastic parts while design students will participate in designing the final product.

During the implementation of the project, workshops on environmental protection will be organized in order to bring the terminology, problem and possible solutions to the waste around us closer to all interested parties, whether those involved in the project or the general public.
